NexusPool has always been non-custodial: no pool wallet, 0% fee, the full block reward paid on-chain straight to the miner's address. That covers who holds the coins. It never answered two other questions a solo or lottery miner has had to take on faith: did the pool count what your rig actually submitted, and if you win, will the reward land where you think it will. As of today those aren't matters of trust anymore. Glass Ledger signs one receipt per rig, covering the shares NexusPool counted from it, the difficulty served, the best share, and the window itself. Payout Preflight rebuilds the exact transaction a real win would pay, before you've won anything. Both are live, and both are built to be checked, not believed.

Glass Ledger: a signed receipt for what your rig submitted

Glass Ledger is NexusPool's proof-of-custody system: every rig mining on the pool gets a cryptographically signed receipt, using a BIP340 Schnorr signature, covering the shares counted from it and the difficulty it was served at.

The signature comes from a key NexusPool controls and checks out against a public authority key NexusPool publishes itself, in both hex and base58check encodings. Verification runs through a standalone tool, offline, with nothing on our servers involved in that check. You aren't reading a claim we made about your rig. You're checking a signature against a key anyone can see.

Two receipt levels, one honest limit

There are two kinds of receipt, and the difference is worth stating plainly. A counted receipt covers what every rig can produce no matter what firmware it runs: shares counted, difficulty served, best share, and the time window. A reconciled receipt adds a second, independent source: the rig's own firmware-reported hashrate, cross-checked against what the pool counted. Most retail rigs, stock Antminer, Avalon, or Whatsminer firmware among them, only ever produce counted receipts, because that firmware has no channel to report hashrate back for the cross-check. That's a firmware limitation, not a NexusPool restriction, and Glass Ledger says so directly instead of quietly implying more than a counted receipt actually proves.

What the dashboard actually shows

The Custody panel on the dashboard compares pool-counted hashrate against firmware-reported hashrate, where a second source exists, against a Poisson noise floor, the spread you'd expect from ordinary share-rate variance. Normal noise gets labeled as noise. Stealth-mode gaps, where firmware suppresses shares on purpose, get labeled as exactly that, not as loss. We don't change your luck. We prove we didn't lose your work.

Payout Preflight: know where the reward lands before you win

Payout Preflight rebuilds the exact coinbase transaction NexusPool would pay a miner's address on a real win, byte-for-byte the same construction path used for an actual found block, not a simulation running separate code next to the real thing.

Enter a payout address in the format your chain expects:

  • BCH
  • the dual LTC+DOGE format

and the pool's own core builds that transaction on the spot. It returns the complete raw coinbase, so you can re-derive and confirm the destination address yourself, offline, without taking our rendering of it at face value.

That matters because a wrong address is a mistake you only get to make once. Once a block is found and the coinbase transaction confirms, there's no undo. Catching a typo or a wrong-chain address before it costs a real block is the entire point of running this check early instead of finding out the hard way.

Payout Preflight verifies where a reward would land. It does not, and cannot, assess whether the seed or private key behind that address is sound. That's a separate problem with a separate set of tools, and we're not going to imply otherwise.

Two questions, one standard

Glass Ledger and Payout Preflight aren't the same tool wearing two names. They answer different questions. Glass Ledger proves what happened to work you already submitted, whether it was counted honestly. Payout Preflight proves where a future reward would go, before you've earned one. Neither asks you to trust a dashboard number. Neither asks you to trust us. Both hand you something you can check yourself, offline, against math instead of our word.

Built on what NexusPool already is

Both features sit on top of a pool that was already non-custodial: 0% fee, 100% of any block reward paid on-chain directly to the miner's address, no pool wallet and no custody window at any point. NexusPool runs native Stratum V1 and encrypted Stratum V2 over the Noise protocol from one engine, on the same port, and mines Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin merged with Dogecoin through AuxPoW. It works with Bitaxe, NerdAxe, NerdQAxe, and other Stratum V1/V2 hardware.

SweetHash, NexusPool's parent, is currently in fabrication on a line of home mining hardware built for individual and small-fleet miners rather than industrial deployment, alongside firmware work for mining hardware and ongoing research in artificial intelligence. That's a separate problem outside what a mining pool can verify, and Payout Preflight doesn't attempt to answer it.

How do I verify a Glass Ledger receipt myself?

NexusPool publishes its public authority key in hex and base58check formats. A standalone verifier tool checks a receipt's Schnorr signature against that key offline, with no connection to NexusPool's servers required at verification time. The dashboard's Custody panel is a separate, additional view that compares pool-counted and firmware-reported hashrate against a Poisson noise floor.

Is NexusPool custodial at any point?

NexusPool is not custodial at any point. It never holds a block reward or a miner's keys: 100% of any found block reward is paid on-chain directly to the miner's address, with 0% pool fee and no pool wallet in between. Glass Ledger and Payout Preflight are verification tools layered on that existing non-custodial design; they don't change it.
